MIchele A. Kessler is the owner/operator of An Apple A Daycare NY, Inc., Bayport-Blue Point's only OCFS licensed and insured in-home childcare program.

Founded in 2016, An Apple A Daycare NY, Inc. has been in continous operation as an "essential business".

Michele is a Dual-Certified Educator with over 20 years of experience in Education. An Apple A Daycare NY, Inc. is the only program on Long Island to have all three special designatiobs available to child care; "Quality Stars", "Eco-Healthy" and "Breastfeeding Friendly".

Michele is BBPC's Small Buisiness Advisory Liason. She is also a "Leadership Mentor" for VOICE/CSEA, a liason for Suffolk County Infancy-Leadership Circle (ILC), an active member of Early Care and Learning Council's Leadership Innitiative, a participant of BBPS Tax-Advisory Committe, a former participant of BBPS Enrollment Committe, a former participant of SUNY Stony Brook SBDC's SHIFT, a member NAFCC, a member NAEYCE, a member of the Child Care Coucil of Suffolk County, a vester member of the UFT, and a founding mentor for two industry-specific social media professional networks.

An Apple A Daycare NY, Inc. has been a finalist twice for a contract to offer Universal PreKindergarten in prorgam. She will continue to apply for CBO status whenever the District offers the bid process.

Michele is an avid and proficient grant writer. This skill allows her to keep the cost of childcare competitve with Suffolk County subsidy rates, as well as to improve her and her staff's education. Since inception of the program, there have been over $200,000 in grant funding awarded. This funding has gone to improve the space, the health and safety of the program, the education of the providers, to offset program increases due to COVID, and to help offer porgram tuition scholarships to families in need.
